FAQ

When will I receive my photos?

You will receive a sneak peak with a few photos within 72 hours of your shoot. Full galleries will be delivered through an online gallery within 4-6 weeks of photoshoot. Priority delivery is available at a cost of $50.

What should we wear to a family shoot?

It is best to wear earthy tones like green, yellow, red, orange or pastels - blue, pink, beige, white etc. I recommend steering clear of bold patterns or logos. Please feel free to send me your outfit choices if you would like some help. Make sure that you have worn the outfit on a previous occasion - that way you will know if it is comfortable.

Should I get my hair and make-up done professionally?

However you feel most comfortable and beautiful is key. Do remember that you most likely will want to show off these photos to friends and family, so make sure you look your most presentable and comfortable self. It is not necessary to get professional hair and makeup done, however it is perfectly fine if you want to go the extra mile!

When should I schedule my maternity shoot?

The recommended timeframe is between 28 - 35 weeks. That way I will be able to capture your beautiful growing belly and you won't be too uncomfortable or tired.

When should I schedule my newborn shoot?

Newborns are only super tiny humans for such a short amount of time, thus I recommend within the first 14 days. By then you should have recovered somewhat from labour, baby acne is not as visible anymore, and newborns sleep A LOT during this time which allows for easy and comfortable poses. Do not worry if you missed the 14 day window - we will still be able to take great photos after this period.

What happens if someone becomes sick?

Health and safety of everyone is my main focus. In the event of either myself, you or someone in the family becoming sick, we will postpone to a later date. In the event of longer term illness, a credit will be given to use within 12 months. If you are unable to attend at all during the 12 month period, you will forfeit your retaining fee.

Will my photos be edited?

All photos will be edited to highlight what is already there. Please familiarize yourself with my editing style. If you didn't look like Margot Robbie coming pre-shoot, please do not expect to look like her post-shoot. I make use of natural light in my lifestyle sessions and minimal editing to remove blemishes, baby acne etc. to make sure you get the most beautiful and natural photos of you and your family.

How many people can be in a family shoot?

For your maternity shoot you can include your spouse / partner, older children or just focus on you and bump. For family shoots, a maximum of 6 people is included in the cost. Any extra persons can be accommodated at $25 pp.
For your newborn shoot this will include immediate family only.

Where do Lifestyle photoshoots take place?

Lifestyle photoshoots take place in the great outdoors and are usually scheduled for the golden hour (sunset). Newborn lifestyle shoots take place within the comfort of your own home. That way you can carry on with your feeding schedule, be at ease in your own space and avoid unnecessary stress with travelling. Maternity and family shoots are done outdoors only within the Ipswich region. Outside of the Ipswich area occur at an extra cost. Please enquire.
